    A basic funeral<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Every person covered under your AVBOB<\/strong> policy gets a FREE<\/strong> basic funeral valued at R14 000* from AVBOB<\/strong> Funeral Service. This includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Funeral arrangements<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • R283 towards a funeral notice in a newspaper of your choice<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Preparing your loved one for burial or cremation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      • An ash coffin, if required<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • A specified coffin<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The use of a specified hearse<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The use of a lowering device at the graveside<\/li>\n\n\n\n

        That\u2019s why, if you have an AVBOB<\/strong> funeral policy*, as part of the FREE<\/strong> funeral benefits * from AVBOB<\/strong> Funeral Service, you will receive an immediate cash payment of R3 000<\/strong> for initial expenses. The R3 000<\/strong> cash payment is in addition to your full policy pay-out and does not lower your funeral cover claim amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        *Terms and conditions apply. **The discount on the tombstone is valid for 18 months from the date of the funeral and on condition that AVBOB<\/strong> Funeral Service provides the tombstone.           • Your premiums must be up to date<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • You must appoint\u00a0AVBOB<\/strong>\u00a0Funeral Service to conduct the funeral<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Who receives this cash benefit?\n
              \n
            • The person who arranges the funeral of the insured person<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Usually the policyholder or the beneficiary named in the policy, or anyone else appointed to make the funeral arrangements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • How is the cash benefit paid?\n
                \n
              • The money is paid using an instant money voucher<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • A voucher number and a PIN code is sent to the cellphone number of the person arranging the funeral<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • He\/she must then go to a Standard Bank ATM or their local SPAR to withdraw the money<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • How to withdraw the cash benefit – Standard Bank ATM?\n

                • You don\u2019t have to be a Standard Bank client to withdraw the money<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Simply follow these steps:\n

                  • Go to your nearest\u00a0AVBOB<\/strong>\u00a0Funeral Service branch to arrange the funeral<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • AVBOB<\/strong>\u00a0Funeral Service will check if the policy you are claiming against was in force for 24 months or longer so that you can claim the R3 000 immediate cash benefit<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • If the policy qualifies, the\u00a0AVBOB<\/strong>\u00a0Funeral Service agent will take down your details and cellphone number and request the payment on our system<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • You will get an SMS with a voucher number and a PIN code on your cellphone. Make sure you keep these numbers safe because anyone who has them can withdraw the money<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Go to your nearest Standard Bank ATM with your cellphone<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • At the ATM choose \u201cCollect Voucher\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Enter the voucher number and PIN code that was sent to your cellphone<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Collect your money (the full amount must be withdrawn at once)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
